Heavy Metals Testing
Heavy metals analysis is a required test by California state regulation.
These are metals with relatively high densities and is toxic or poisonous at low concentrations.
Sources of heavy metals in cannabis and cannabis products can be from soil/media the plant was grown, water the plant was given, as well as contamination from manufacturing processes.
THC Analytical Lab conducts heavy metal analysis by inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) for arsenic, cadmium, mercury, and lead. Samples are deemed to have passed heavy metals analysis if the presence of heavy metals does not exceed the action levels outlined below:
